With what promise do the Old Testament Scriptures close?

Answer

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I
come and smite the earth with a curse." Mal. 4: 5, 6.
NOTE - From this we learn that while disobedience to parents and the breaking up of home ties
will characterize the last days (2 Tim. 3: 1-3; Matt. 24: 37-39; Gen. 6: 1, 2), God's message for the last days
will strengthen the cords of love and affection, and bind the hearts of parents and children together.
